When Brazil got waxed by Germany the other day in the World Cup semifinals, it sure made a lot of people wax poetic.

The game Tuesday afternoon has become the most tweeted-about sports event in Twitter history.

The social networking site says there were 35.6 million tweets sent out during Germany’s 7-1 rout.

Speaking of easy wins, the Twitter record smashes the one of 24.9 million set during the Super Bowl in February.
