Held every Thursday from 6-9pm, enjoy free live music on the lawn. We’ll be serving wine, sangria & Madhouse beer by the glass ($5) as well as grilling up burgers & brats ($6). We’ll have regular appearances by the Chocolaterie Stam gelato cart – yes, you can even have a wine or beer gelato float – as well as the Gusto Pizza truck. We will have some chairs/tables, but it’s not a bad idea to bring some chairs or blankets as well. As a reminder, all ages are welcome but please leave the pets at home. And since it’s a free event, please celebrate the evenings enjoying our wine and beer (other alcoholic beverages will need to stay at home). Yay for summer!

Yoga in the Park

Des Moines Park & Recreation Department invites you to enjoy your Saturday morning by participating in a free weekly yoga session at Grays Lake this summer. Maximize your stress relief by practicing yoga next to the water’s edge at the southeast shore. The class will be from 9 – 10 a.m. & will be held every Saturday beginning May 25 through September 28. Classes will not take place if raining. Local volunteer teachers lead each session, which means you’ll have a different yoga experience each week! You are encouraged to bring a mat/towel as well as some water & clothes you can move in. No registration for the class required……..just show up at 9am ready to relax, release & enjoy the experience of Yoga on the shores of beautiful Gray’s Lake.

Monday Night Rides on the Summerset Trail

Meet at CanoeSport Outfitters at 6 p.m. on Monday nights every week May 20 through Labor Day (except July 22 for RAGBRAI week). We will ride all or part of the Summerset Trail. Sometimes we’ll make it to Banner Lake State Park & other times we’ll ride all the way to Carlisle & back. Any level of cyclist welcome. Led by Canoesport Outfitters & sponsored by Friends of Indianola Trails & Indianola Parks & Recreation.
